Good Bye Corporate World - Week 4 Help, no more!
Week 4
HELP, NO MORE!
Monday morning is here and I can put this mock exam off no longer, I've got 2 hours which is plenty of time. How much of this studying has gone in? I set myself up in a quiet area, set the timer and an hour later I had answered all 75 questions. This wasn't the plan its supposed to take 2 hours. Suppose I had better do the boring bit now and check my answers (I've never been good at this bit, guess I'm just too impatient and want to know how many I got right or wrong). Right, time to do the big marking session, I was in total shock, pass mark was 70% and I got 80% I was so happy that.
On a personal note I have become so obsessed with this exam I have actually turned in to Studyzilla. The role I had chosen relies on me passing this exam in order to give advice and therefore this exam, is my new job for now. My house looks like a tip, my friends and family haven't had the same level of care and attention that I normally pay them. I'm pleased to say the dogs have been walked every day as they don't understand that I have now become fixated on showing the world that I know my Equity Release stuff and can pass an exam to prove it.
The running and my daily exercise classes have stopped and my rear end has started to spread as I become more obsessed. Sorry Usain Bolt we will have to pick up again next week.
Ok what do I know about Equity Release, well I know that its had a bad press in the past and quite rightly, as it wasn't regulated as it is now. The products weren't really fit for purpose and the client didn't sometimes get a great service as there were limited products to recommend. The Equity Release Council was launched in 2012 and transformed the industry by promoting very high standards of conduct and practice to ensure the best outcomes for clients. My role now will be to educate people and ensure that I take the very best of care in the best interests of my clients. This is modern Equity release with over 700 products, along with low rates to recommend.
Time do more mock exams to make sure that on Sunday I can show my competence to pass this test. Great the next Mock I got 90% pass, wish that I could to a Michael J Fox and go forward in time to Sunday. But no, it all starts going down hill as the week progresses, Studyzilla really is on top form and instead of proving to herself she can do it, the next mock exams are getting worse by the day. Panic mode is well and truly setting in. Sorry world, my bitch face is permanently on (anyone that knows me, this is also my worried or nervous face too). I reached out to a Facebook Equity Release group and they gave me some brilliant advice in the lead up to my doom..... sorry I mean exam. One thing I have noticed is that people in this industry are so supportive and really want to help others succeed.
I had to have a bit of a chat with myself, so what if a fail this test, I can take it again. I was so lucky that I had my study buddy Jaye who was going through similar, apart from the down turn in mock results and of course Studyzilla. Jaye's exam is the day before mine on the Saturday, I hope I can give her support too.
Fantastic, Jaye passed her exam and I was so happy for her, she even phoned me and walked through some of the tricky areas she had in her exam. Time to break out another mock exam which I literally scraped by 2 marks. Best advice to me, get an early night and see what Sunday and the 500 computer generated questions holds..... No prosecco tonight.
